About Madeline

I have always known I would have a career in the arts, but never knew exactly where. First, an actress, then a set designer, then maybe fashion. Finally, I took a woodworking class and found furniture design. After three semesters of community college classes during high school I found California College of the Arts as I started my college search and instantly fell in love.

I am a sculptor, designer, and maker who is thinking of ways to reinvigorate the way we look at and use materials.

I have always known I would have a career in the arts, but never knew exactly where. First, an actress, then a set designer, then maybe fashion. Finally, I took a woodworking class and found furniture design. My passion is experimenting with interesting objects and abstract often forgotten ways of working. I love developing different design languages whether it is the mixture of uncommon materials like knit sweaters and bio-resin or interesting processes like dipping refuse in liquid latex. I am a sculptor, designer, and maker who is thinking of ways to reinvigorate the way we look at and use materials.
